Percy Venegas

Percy has held positions in technology companies such as Intel Corp, and has worked as a consultant in a number of industries ranging from financial services to organic agriculture. He serves as advisor to several organizations, including the Social Venture Capital/Social Enterprise Conference for Latin America, the Caribbean and South Florida, and at Economy Monitor Group’s board, where he is also a founding partner.

Mr.Venegas holds a degree in electronic engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Costa Rica, earned his MBA in International Business from MIB School of Management, Italy and Sun Yat Sen University (Lingnan College, MIT Sloan), China, and received his Masters in Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility from EOI Escuela de Negocios, Madrid. He speaks Spanish, English, French and Italian. He is based in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Maikol Elizondo-Lara

Maikol Elizondo-Lara, Ph.D is an academic, economist and entrepreneur. At SolarBT he also leads several research initiatives that aim to mesure the impact of peripheral factors in sustainability projects, such as avoided health risks.  He has also been an adviser for a number of international organizations, including the Latin America and Caribbean Economics Association and has executive level experience in big pharma.

Dr.Elizondo-Lara holds a Masters in Health Economics from Universidad de Costa Rica and earned his Ph.D in Economics,  concentration in Subjective Wellbeing, from Universidad de las Americas, Puebla. He is based in Mexico DF.

Jochen Uhde

Jochen Uhde is an engineer with experience as Global Project Manager for Siemens’ Power Generation Unit in North America, Europe and Asia. Jochen also holds a number of patents.

Jochen earned a Masters in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from University of Erlangen, Germany and holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with major in marketing from University Central Florida (UCF), Orlando. He is also Six-Sigma Black Belt certified. Jochen speaks English, German and French.

Jochen’s wife, Kristin Uhde, Ph.D, has worked in tropical epidemiology for the Center of Disease Control in Atlanta and multinationals. She is a senior adviser for SolarBT’s health channel. 

Edio Ricci

Dr.Ricci is a physicist, pacifist and environmental advocate. He has a career record of over 30 years designing and implementing cleantech in emerging countries, including unique solar thermal technology that targets the sanitation needs and industry requirements in these countries.  

Dr.Ricci has lead twice the wining team of the Energy Globe - World Sustainability Award, and has won many other international awards including World Bank’s Development Marketplace and Premio Liguria. He holds science degrees from several european institutions, and speaks Italian, Spanish and English. He is based in Heredia, Costa Rica.
